I represent Stone Hill School and every week I bring along 8 pupils from Yrs 3, 4, 5 and 6 to Rossington Hall RDA. Our pupils really enjoy coming along to ride the horses and get a real thrill from it, the horses also get really excited because the pupils bring along apples to feed them before they go. 

Coming along to the RDA has benefitted our pupils enormously I have watched their confidence and social skills grow and their riding skills improve weekly. The pupils have learnt all the horses’ names and have their favorites on which they want to ride.
The pupils that are nervous of riding the horses sometimes come along just to meet them and watch the other riders, and then gradually over time they get used to the horses and see what fun the other pupils are having. They might start by sitting in the saddle and gradually they build up their confidence to take part and benefit from this rewarding experience which with thanks to the RDA has been made possible.
